Beginner Italian A1.1 is the perfect starting point for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of Italian. This course builds a strong foundation in essential communication skills, introducing core grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a supportive and interactive learning environment. It’s ideal for learners studying Italian for travel, work, or personal enrichment.
You will learn how to introduce yourself and others, share personal information such as your name, nationality, and profession, and take part in simple conversations in both formal and informal contexts. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, helping you use the language naturally and with confidence.
The course covers key structures including the present tense of essere, chiamarsi, avere, stare, and common -are verbs, as well as articles, nationality adjectives, and basic prepositions. Phonetics is fully integrated throughout the course, with focused practice on Italian vowel sounds, intonation, and common consonant combinations, ensuring you develop clear and natural pronunciation from the start.
You will receive an invitation via Zoom. All you have to do is click on the link you receive online, and this will connect you to the online class.
In the virtual class, you will meet your fellow students and tutor.

The online classes are held on Zoom. Students will receive a Zoom invitation, which will connect them to the online class.
How many students in the Beginner Italian Course A1.1?
Our online courses are limited to 6 students.
How long is the Beginner Italian Course A1.1?
The Beginner Italian Course A1.1 is comprised of 10 Lessons of 90 minutes each that aim to build general basic comprehension and communication skills in Italian.
What if I miss a class?
Unlike our one-to-one students, we can not reschedule our course lessons. We will, of course, send you any homework assignments for the missed lessons.
What is your refund policy?
Courses have limited places, so fees are non-refundable once a course has started and missed classes can’t be refunded. If you need to cancel before the course begins, please email us with proof of payment. A £30 fee applies if you cancel more than 10 days before the start date, or 30% of the course fee if you cancel within 10 days of the start.

What if our tutor misses a class?
This rarely happens, however, in the case that our tutor is ill or unable to travel, another one of our tutors will cover the class. In the worst case scenario, we would extend the course an extra week. We would, of course, give you as much notice as possible.
