Italian Conversational Course B2/C1 ( Zoom)
Course Outline
This course is designed for students who feel confident expressing themselves in Italian and wish to extend and maintain their proficiency for business, travel, or everyday use. Approximately 320 hours of prior Italian study are required.
Students will have the opportunity to focus on specific language skills, including expanding vocabulary in targeted areas, improving written accuracy and style, and developing a deeper understanding of Italian cultural and social issues. The course is conducted entirely in Italian, with conversation as the central focus, encouraging active participation and meaningful communication.
The course aims to further develop advanced comprehension and communication skills in Italian, while also reviewing key cultural practices. Particular emphasis is placed on the clear explanation and practical application of higher-level language structures, supporting students in achieving greater fluency, accuracy, and confidence.

- Tutor supplied material including short films, literature, grammar, art, history or geography.
- Understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions within one’s field of specialisation.
- Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that allows for regular interaction with native speakers without strain for either party.
- Produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of subjects, and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue by presenting the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
- Understand a wide range of demanding and extended texts, and recognise implicit meaning.
- Express oneself fluently and spontaneously, with minimal searching for expressions.
- Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.
- Produce clear, well-structured, and detailed texts on complex subjects, demonstrating controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices.

Where are the classes being taught?
The online classes are held on Zoom. Students will receive a Zoom invitation, which will connect them to the online class.
How many students are in the Advanced Conversational Course?
Our online courses are limited to 6 students.
How long is the Advanced Conversational Course?
The Advanced Conversational Course is comprised of 10 Lessons of 90 minutes each that aim to build general basic comprehension and communication skills in Italian.
What if I miss a class?
Unlike our One to One students, we can not reschedule our course lessons. We will, of course, send you any homework assignments for the missed lessons.
What is your refund policy?
Courses have limited places, so fees are non-refundable once a course has started and missed classes can’t be refunded. If you need to cancel before the course begins, please email us with proof of payment. A £30 fee applies if you cancel more than 10 days before the start date, or 30% of the course fee if you cancel within 10 days of the start.

What if our tutor misses a class?
This rarely happens, however, in the case that our tutor is ill or unable to travel, another one of our tutors will cover the class. In the worst case scenario, we would extend the course an extra week. We would, of course, give you as much notice as possible.
