Beginner Italian Course A1.2
The Beginner Italian Course A1.2 is for students who have previously completed approximately 15/20 hours of Italian. Our course for complete beginners is here.
Course Outline
Beginner Italian: A1.2 is designed for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A1.1 Course or who have approximately 20 hours of prior study. This course helps you build fluency and confidence in everyday communication, while deepening your understanding of Italian grammar and expanding your vocabulary. It’s ideal for learners studying Italian for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You’ll learn how to handle common real-life situations such as ordering food and drinks, booking a table, making polite requests, and asking for or telling the time. You’ll also develop the language needed to talk about your free time and leisure activities, and to express preferences clearly and naturally.
Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context to support effective communication from the start. Key language points include plural nouns, prepositions (a, in, con), interrogative forms, adverbs of frequency, and essential verbs such as volere, preferire, andare, uscire, giocare, and leggere. Phonetics is integrated throughout the course, with focused practice on Italian intonation to help you develop clear, natural, and confident speech.
