A2.1 pre/intermediate Online Italian Course
A2.1 pre/intermediate Italian Online Course (Zoom)
Pre/intermediate Italian Online Course
The Pre/intermediate Italian Online Course is a continuation of Italian Beginners A1.4 and is for any student wishing to
learn the language for business, travel or everyday use with approximately 100 hours of
Italian required. Students will develop skills to use in conversation, reading, listening
and writing. This course aims to build higher level comprehension and communication
skills in intermediate Italian and a review of cultural practices, with a focus on clear
explanation of higher level language principles.
This class will be delivered online via the online platform Zoom. Enrolling students need
to ensure they have an email, a reliable internet connection, a microphone/speakers
and access to a tablet, smartphone or computer. Classes will consist of 1.5 hours of
virtual class time, together with 30 minutes worth of work to be completed
independently. You will be able to contact your tutor by email or phone to ask for
guidance and feedback on this work. In addition, tutors may set additional homework.
This course aims to improve communication skills for everyday use at
pre/intermediate level. Students will practice speaking and listening skills through
simple conversations, role plays, discussions, presentations, and other
communicative activities. They will expand or refresh vocabulary and sentence
structures to gain fluency in everyday situations. The course is designed for
students who have completed or have almost completed Nuovo Espresso Book 2
or approximately 180 hours of Italian. However, the course may be useful also for
students at higher levels who would like to revise and consolidate intermediate
conversational skills.
You will receive an invitation via Zoom. All you have to do is click on the link you receive online, and this will connect you to the online class.
In the virtual class, you will meet, converse and learn with your fellow students and tutor.
